Dr. Garrett D. Obenauf, DMD
Dr. Obenauf is dedicated to providing compassionate, patient-centered dentistry with a focus on clinical excellence and long-term oral health. He believes in taking the time to understand each patient’s unique needs and goals, creating personalized treatment plans that help patients achieve healthy, confident smiles.
Dr. Obenauf earned his Doctor of Dental Medicine degree from the Southern Illinois University School of Dental Medicine after completing his bachelor’s degree at the University of Iowa. He is experienced in all aspects of general dentistry and has advanced training in Invisalign® treatment and cosmetic dental procedures.
Outside of the office, Dr. Obenauf enjoys spending time outdoors with family and friends. His interests include sailing, water sports, winter sports, and exploring new adventures whenever possible.
Dr. Robert J. Covek, DDS
Dr. Covek completed his undergraduate studies at SUNY Geneseo before earning his Doctor of Dental Surgery degree from Loyola University School of Dentistry in 1986. He then completed a two-year residency in Maxillofacial Prosthodontics at Hines VA Hospital, where he received advanced training in restoring complex dental and facial conditions.
Following his residency, Dr. Covek proudly served as a Captain in the United States Air Force as a Prosthodontist. Stationed at Carswell Air Force Base in Texas, he was deployed in support of Operation Desert Storm.
After practicing in several local offices from 1991 to 1994, Dr. Covek established his own dental practice in Grayslake in 1994. For more than three decades, he has been committed to providing exceptional care and building lasting relationships with patients throughout the community.
Dr. Covek is married to his wife, Kathy, and has four children: Bobby, Michael, Kendall, and Barbara. Outside the office, he enjoys playing hockey, golfing, platform tennis, baking sourdough bread, and spending time with his family.
